1. Work out
And by working out I don’t mean doing stupid exercises like “functional training”. If you want to be healthy and strong, focus on compound movements. Don’t be lazy – people who get the best results are people who do full-range squats, deadlifts, bench presses, overhead presses, chin-ups, pull-ups, etc. None of these exercises are easy, but you won’t achieve anything worthwhile without hard work. Make sure to train safely, though. Learn how to perform these exercises with good form to reduce the risk of injuries and make your workout sessions most effective.
2. Eat a lot of protein and whole foods
Protein is the most satiating nutrient, and it’s used by the body for building muscle. While you shouldn’t forget about fats and carbohydrates, protein is extremely important if you want to maintain good health and build muscle. Get at least 1 g of protein per pound of bodyweight. As for whole foods, they are rich in nutrients your body needs and have a lot of fiber which will also keep you satiated. Find several spices and herbs and use them to enrich the flavor of your veggies. You can also drink matcha tea, a very healthy beverage.
3. Be happy
All people who enjoy good health are happy. Happiness doesn’t have much to do with money. Even if you don’t have a lot of money, you can still be very happy. Happiness is a decision – if you learn how to appreciate what you have, you’ll greatly improve your happiness. Keep in mind that being grateful for what you have (no matter how little you have) is the most important key to happiness.
